The
Leadership Hamilton Alumni
Association (LHAA) is comprised
of the graduates from the
Leadership Hamilton program of
the Greater Hamilton Chamber of
Commerce. Since 1991, the
Chamber has been educating
business people and community
members about issues as:
economic development, education,
city government, criminal
justice, health care and social
services. After graduation,
these participants join the LHAA
in order take advantage of
further leadership development
as well as to continue to expand
their involvement in the
community.
LHAA Vision: Combining passion
and leadership for a better
community.
LHAA Mission: Creating
leadership opportunities to
expand community vision and
development.
LHAA is an active organization
working to make a real
difference in our community.
Over the years, we have made
much progress and accomplished a
great deal including:
- Served as
the lead organization in the
inaugural leadership speaker
series that brought General
F. Norman Schwarzkopf to the
area.
- Sponsored
a leadership training
program at the Fitton Center
featuring Eric Ellis.
-
Participated in a Board
retreat resulting in new
mission and vision
statements, as well as a
stronger plan for the
organization.
- Revised
our logo and Association
guidelines, creating a new
look and clarifying our
organization.
Sponsored the
sale of holiday cards, featuring
scenes of Hamilton, Ohio. This program
served as a fundraiser allowing
us to donate $1,000 to the
American Cape Alexander Hamilton
Sculpture in downtown Hamilton.
The Leadership Hamilton Alumni
Association is currently working
on projects for the upcoming
year. We are planning a new
program, Leadership Works,
designed to bring together and
provide training for Leadership
Alumni and non-profit agencies
in need of quality board
members. We were also involved
with the planning for the second
Leadership Speaker Program and
are exploring the creation of a
new CEO Roundtable. |
